Fixies are a race of tiny human-like creatures who secretly live inside of our machines, appliances and devices, conscientiously maintaining and repairing them with the aid of their tool-filled pack-o-mats. Fixies are experts in all fields of technology. Their mission is to keep the world working and they always know how to get the job done. Fixies hide from humans, and that is why so little has been known about them until recently.

The series explains to children how the world around them is arranged. Each episode is devoted to one of the gadgets, equipment, or phenomena. With the fixies, kids learn about things and how to use the complicated equipment carefully through play and entertainment.
